Visual Manuscript 12.3

cover within a coverpage...from the 2nd Revision
Intentional Moment 12.3 formally started last year which had undergone hopefully its final 3rd revision. This project like that of Whisper to a Scream 6.5;  is intented for public viewing. I'm still thinking of the other visual manuscripts if I will have the guts to show. Well, maybe but obviously it would require some revisions.
I'm still not done with most of the twelve art journals...but I am working on them simultaneously. Anyway, you can not hurry a moment of Realizationism--they just came in mysterious ways. The randomness of ideas doesn't always flow as expected. But I always remind myself to be inspired. I can will myself to be inspire...to push myself to create. Even when I'm full to the brim with work loads. I  must create at least an artwork a day. Doodling or pasting...it is all part of the process.
So this 12th manuscripts is called Intentional Moment...meaning it had to be intentional or something like that. Intending the moment to happen the way I want it to manipest. Sometimes I also refer to these as wishful thinking (probably that would be a nice goal for a 13th manuscript if ever) to satisfy my craving or make up for my shortcomings.
I guess, after all, everything is intentional ever since I started this way back in 1985 or 86. That I intented the randomness or accidents to happen. Can we therefore ask Serendipity to occur whenever we want?
So what will be the storyline this time?
I think I should concern myself on allowing beautiful moment to pass through. I can try not to linger on heartaches and failures. Extracting my brain once more for some artistic expressions. Perhaps I could re-focus everything I've logged from earlier manuscripts...to summarized those divine messages. The sub-conscious is always intune to the spiritual realm. Maybe I misinterpreted some of the learnings (and unlearning) so I could go back to realign the messages. (To follow...)

I don't usually uses glue to paste them...using paint for
the collage; so it would also qualify in painting category.

Perhaps they'll listen now...

Still Moving...

I'm so thankful to those who still visit this page in spite of the inactivity...was my birthday last July 10 and thought I should drop by and make some updates on all my sites...that's my little mission for the coming days. No face painting show on sched so I think I can squeeze more time with you.
I did some art works that I have not yet shared here...as a blog dedicated to my artistry, I hereby present them...nothing major, most are just sketches and unfinished works:

Manuscripts Archive 1

Nearly 3 decades now that I've been honing, exploring, and gathering image on these journals and maybe in the near future I will finally present the final editions one by one for public viewing. Some of the pages actually had been previewed by my online friends...

I'll be keeping updates on my journal every now and then here...so keep in touch and click this page once in a while.

I do a lot of tweaking and re-evaluations with my art journals. Like the the manuscript above I called "A Whisper to a Scream" it has undergone 4 revisions...
Here is my latest baby "Intentional Moment"

My Largest Visual Manuscripts that I hopefully...and finally be able to show in public...Experiential Dictations 10.3

Summon those inspiration

Applying what I've been discussing on this blog I made these two featured portraits to achieved the state of inspiration....

detail from After Image 8.3 (pp.16)
Like what God experience after He worked for 6 days and made the Sabbath and enjoyed His own creation I also said "It is good." and then I wrote a blog on in on Wisdom of a Fool with this following words:

Since yesterday I've been trying to get inspired...I did not waited but created my inspirations. I pick a color pencil  and chose this time the manuscript "Stolen Moment".....to make as an ignition work as usual. Yes, these are what I called ignition pieces or starters...so I can build up a confidence or to be exact summoning enough energy to paint a thematic work.   The usual process start with a couple of doodles and then sketch process until images are form...but it does not always appear as I wanted too...there are times when frustrations hit me. But I always, no I mean never discard them totally since they will still provide source for future explorations...Why portrait of women? It's the easiest connection I can do at this moment...but it is not always the case, I also browse and add items on my visual diaries for boost...often simultaneously....

I think in a few hours or day I will have new inspiration coming. A painting worth sharing.

Like My Page and Stolen Moment

The goal I had in mind when I started my 7th visual manuscripts was to have it as a moment by moment sketch or the within reach journal that I can utilize to let the feeling of certain moment happen via visual manipulation...That is whatever instrument I had in my hand will be use to express on this collections. Most cases would probably be ballpen doodle and of course it will have plenty of letters. Having more talk than visuals would be the difference among my other Visual manuscripts.
The journal would be focus more on the self-healing process than citations of my world views and social commentaries. The preface below will help explain the causes:

Ever since I started my indulgence to create visual journals had been a love-hate relationship. The shifting mood often leads to re-creations of the whole manuscripts into new sets of collections and even completes dismantling of the package.   I can’t account anymore how many manuscripts I have renovated or how many beginnings I have started. Although most manuscripts are either lost or mishandle, there is (are) still my tendency to rebuild when urges arises. In fact, this collection (or directions) had been formed from around a dozen books eventually dissolved into another resolution.   The temporal qualities of this (these) journals perhaps also reflect my greatest challenge (or struggles) to create a perfect collection that will echo my inner-thoughts.   What are my thoughts?   Realizationism evolves that is certain. Ever since I launch my quest to search my self I have never rested in looking for answers.   Maybe somewhere among these manuals I will re-discover the enlightenment.
So not everything would be reveal on this blog since it is more personal and the collection that I intend to keep for myself alone.

The Heart that Appreciates

When we were younger as little boys and girls, our parents always encourages us to say “thank you” whenever someone give us a gift, or treats, or returning the item we borrowed. As we grow a little older we acquire the habit to show appreciation when some one gave us favor like sharing seats, finishing errands for you, or simply being there beside you during heartaches.
A thankful heart, why is that important?
Most people may have not realized that when we say thank you or show appreciations we are sending “love” energies and thus revitalizing the recipient. The simple principle of give and take is a natural cycle in our planet. The cycle of life, food web, symbiosis, mass equal the force, and so on...lead me to the understanding that what ever you sow that you shall reap. Eastern religion calls it Karma, or as Jesus put it "Do unto others what you want others to do unto you."
Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them" Matthew 7:12
by Mari Sterling Wilbur
Similar spiritual activity that I recommend is our Appreciation of beauty. Focusing on nature as God’s masterpieces is one manner of sending our appreciations of God’s creation…therefore it is a form of worship too.
Further is appreciation even on common or an attractive object or scenario…This we shall further explore on coming articles.
When we spend great deal of time appreciating beauty we are aligning ourselves with the universe. When we are more aware of spiritual (beauty) things that surround us the easier it is for blessings to travels back to you.

Reaching your wishes
Imagine your wish is a visible item…over there in the horizon. Abstract things like peace, friendship, career, or love can be imagine as a living entity. So you place that wish somewhere there…Far enough but not too distant for you to reach. You can also place that prayer request (wishes) inside a box (make it an existing reality and it’s advisable to add specific detail you prefer); or you can create a whole environment and place your dream at the end of a hall way…the length of the alley depending on you.
If it is “family relationship” put that image inside a box…
If it is a “brand new car” put that car at the end of the hallway…
Now slowly open the box, you can make specific image of a key if you like, your imagination is what counts…then twist the key, you’ve heard clicking sounds…then you slowly open the key…there you should be seeing your wish…don’t be shy, go pick it up…cherish it for a couple of minute at the palm of your hand…try to remember the varied degree of feelings while the object is at your hand. Then claim that wish…becomes your own…becoming part of you and therefore you become one…then relax…thank God. See yourself thanking and appreciating God. Imagine that feeling of gratitude bathing you…soothing you…filling you…it becomes the air you breathe. Be generous in praising the source. Remember that God is a Spirit; you don’t have to draw a portrait of Him. Imagine how you would worship a King, your creator…flourish in His presence. Hold that feeling of beauty…
Slowly return to your current being still holding beauty…is there any changes in your emotion? Honestly assess how you feel.

The above exercise is just a pattern, you can re-invent or add some process whatever you like (like adding some music) just don’t forget to hold the feeling of beauty, of being thankful, and being thankful again and again.

I'll let you hold to this feeling first and form the habit until it became natural like breathing...before I introduce further appreciations...

Connecting to Divine Source

Previous blogs have discussed about the importance of coincidences or divine guidance in order to reach Realizationism. The process of spiritual awakening taking shape on a steady phase is now bringing us closer to Realizationism.
Once we have recognized an enlightenment taking place we can proceed to its unraveling in our life and benefit more abundantly. Some enlightenment may happen in a shorter period of time as in my case it took many years to take shape or until I finally give in…yet during the process I’m already enjoying its benefits and seeing patterns that are nearly magical but real. I also have this little theory that I need to be confirm base on experience and perhaps I can will the answer to come to me...by the way the theory is, once we lost contact by deliberately  seeking material gain above spiritual growth we will degenerate and needed the process to start all over again--this means we will lost appreciation of real beauty and will lost communication with the divine source. Although I believe on the consistency of enlightenment...some process are halted because of secular pitfalls.
Now let us return to our destiny unfolding. Newly born in Spirit we will need nourishment from Spiritual milk in order to grow. I have pointed out the importance of meditation...on the word of God and so once again I advise
More often our career path is the first touch-point of these manifestations. This because we have already molded a mindset that is always relative to material gain or subconscious therefore interpret spiritual blessing in terms of our priorities…as we mature spiritually this guidance, will eventually be leading us to the very purpose of why we are createdThe more we became aware of this reality the faster it will take effect in our life.
I've also mentioned that literally passing through fire is almost unavoidable to align our preoccupied mind to this eye-opener. Smoldering, pounding, twisting, and even humiliation is necessary to evolve from becoming just a mere flesh and bone but a living soul as well (Genesis 2:7). Returning to the original fabric we are created.
7 Then the LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.
You can also read Why there are sufferings?

TRAUMA AND CRISIS POINT
Although most of us may resent the process by which God teaches us valuable lessons, we must also acknowledge that this is done to refine our character. You have to put to mind how a diamond was being created from a chunk of coal.
Because during the times of our distress; God inject some of the greatest lessons in our life.
Which do you prefer a diamond or a coal?
Once we settle down after some numbing experience and seek our inner self we can evaluate our positions from where we stand. Focusing MORE on the outward appearance of circumstances will lead us to frustrations. Searching for answers from places we have no direct influences can be frustrating But if we stay connected with our spiritual nature we are more likely to received spiritual answer. My method on this process is creating Visual Manuscripts, if you feel you can't express yourself in words, you can do what I do...doodle images and even employing collage to retain the energy of the object that affect me during self-searching.
I feel there is a need to reiterate the importance of "coincidences" to fully enjoy The Art of Realizationism.

After Image 8.2, Studies and Stretching

I don't recall the last landscape or even seascape that I painted, if ever there is; it would be the usual school projects. I'm disinterested in painting landscapes, it's not that I don't appreciate one...in fact I was always awestruck seeing one. It is just not my forte...I prefer to go into details...close up images of the common things. Things that are abundant only inside my own space. That is perhaps my introversion and the usual choice of isolation.
I had a model here as basis...I'm not including the picture so that I will not give injustice to the original...anyway, I don't intend to copy its every strokes; I remember what Ray Albano said "Avoid copying the works of others, if you do, you have to at least be as good or a lot better." Therefore, I will go beyond the copying which I know can't even level myself but instead will express what I can.
Sun ray casting its invisible light has always baffled me...how those great nature artist achieved them flawlessly.
I should give credit for my wife also on this one because she was the one who pushes me to paint landscape...Now, as I move along contemplating and internalizing a possible  new realization I will probably do more of this type.

Completeness happened when you are doing your core gifts and when reaching some higher level...at least for the time being making some progress...to continue sharpening the saw as advised by Masters I went into another study mode...this time on color-pencil. Choosing violet to sketch with an aim in mind to presents light being defuse yet not sacrificing detail. This is not being timid in approaching difficult situations and plunging into the unknown but making careful calculations base on previous experiences. Some lines are intentionally stress to give it a more pronounce outcome when it reaches our vision and to draw some point if interest. After the drawing has been done I feel satisfied...
Now I had my idea for a self-portrait...

After Image 8.2, drawing within

Without my eye glasses on I begun on leaf 6…the sun was on dusk process so it would cripple some of my vision’s ability to see detail and truthful tinge.  What I want here to settle is the challenge of the models position…top-isometric analysis and the naked skin tone that is nearly defuse will obviously be a struggle to interpret the image clearly. The first pencil stroke is not easy as I try to connect the dots…divide the image into geometric small pieces to relate the other object for balance. I have to wait and never hurry for I must put to mind the importance of a good sketch…fundamental rule to carry.
It would be expected the next day at daylight these possibilities: dull color, imbalance of stokes, and whatever…but even all these expected results without seeing vivid for this night I have the strong urge to create just after I have my dinner. I need a new fair of reading glasses (it’s broken again for the 4th time this year alone) and a good source of lamp near my working area.

About the subject at hand; it’s a test of skill and the ability to resolved problems at hand. I’m expert at that, being a scrapbook maker for a long time. Any flaws that may come out at latter times can be turn into a beautiful piece. Hiding fault is my expertise in term of arts…or maybe in other aspect of my life too. Troubleshooting and making amends had been part of my visual diaries even to the point of total make-over. I easily get bothered with tiny details. Yet tonight I will enjoy the moment of painting. Painting must always be easy and enjoyable…free flowing and never stiff…once that important detail is entail then it is not an artwork anymore. A gift must always come as a blessing even from the giver.
The surreal attitude come when I place the lady inside a wooden drawer…experimented about the curtain as backdrop wishing the sunlight to comes in…the flower design was hurried which I had never desired…it is not good to paint poorly. All must come with love and attention. I will never commit again the terrible mistake of aiming too low and acting very little.
You can easily get drifted with time and when desires sinks in you blend yourself with your work…then it is Not work anymore but love-making. This time it is just all wishes stirring and I surrender…

I have to stop and let the next day judge me. Yet there are still some left-over energy so I move to my next model. Heidi Riego’s beauty caught me so I pick her from my downloads. I wish to use color-pencils but I just opted for an instant result and have it on pencil. This time I turn it good and will sleep contented…
NOW the next day prove to be a different story. Daylight will tell what night refuses to reveal. Plus I have my glasses on…

After Image, further editing

Done with page 3 and taking the matter a little seriously and asking patience...to continue. Just a few item were added...the other half of the pencil. There are some poorly executed strokes on the female body area that I have to retouch...and found out the new poster color I bought doesn't have the quality I wish to display. I have to apologized too for the poor quality of the photo I posted here since I am only using my other camera phone.
The mood for a visual journal with a completed stand-alone piece in itself is on my bloodstream nowadays, so I just let it happen as it dictates. After Image, will just flow as it is...but as I have said will be more thoroughly thought of. By the way, since this already an edited version from the first attempt it is now the episode 8.2 of the series.
As a manuscript of course I expect written revelations and explorations or experiential expressions. That would simply come out as the day comes...anything that touch my soul and probably touching the divine as well.
Doing half naked or totally naked women are not anymore on my agenda...or lesser if I could manage. I believe I'm done on this station whereas I have to prove my conversant on human form...this is just reaction on issues about the pros and cons of nude art. Even loosing a member on the process and then realizing another lessons about differences. Oppps I am not totally done away with nude...if the need arise I will still put it as symbolism.
The next goal is the Biography page: About the Artist....

After Image, Preface

Like all decent book it must have an introduction, this is the part you start introducing what can people expect from the author.
I prefer this time a Preface for After Image, Episode 8. By the way I think I should enumerate what are the other visual journal:
   1. Realizationism, an artist journal...although it was given an introduction only around 1995 and finalize in 2000, the collection from this journal begun way back in 1986 during my self-searching. This is the largest book that I recycled using an old coffee table book.
   2. The Quantum Fragment, the book where I start calling it as my Laboratory features bits and fragments of thought or ideas needing confirmation. This is still on process and it begun March 21, 2006
   3. Same Ground, words beyond the artworks...deals with outpouring of my self especially during those time of distress and well, a venue to argue...
   4. Migration (2009) is a reflection of the constant changes going on around me. It mirrors also my travel from Pasay City to Laguna.
   5. Ecclesiastes is what I call my spiritual devotional journal and the drawing board for the art of Realizationism. An idea must have clarity so I am putting it all here.
   6. A Whisper to a scream, lesser of those drawings and more of writing.
   7. Stolen Moment, is a book that I grab to sketch what is before me...

Transferring the DRAFT and final edited edited version
Now After Image will be taking you on a new dimension. Perhaps the only visual journal the masses will be allowed to peek into. Innovative since it will coincide with this series of blogs. It will give you updates on its process from day one till....
After making the draft for this book I finalized the preface, I search and saw an unfinished drawing and realized it is a nice item to write over these preface...

PREFACE
While I was taking my cue on the gradual flow of events from instances crafted by collective minute detail...I saw (again) the urgency to assemble another visual manuscript.
As the 8th of a series, although inter-woven as a constellation came as a tiny spark of urgency. The familiar desire to tell stories, commentaries, and express feelings via imagery and written languages -- sorted from experiences achieved on daily basis.   AFTER IMAGE,  aims to resonate a more define Realizationism than just Random Thoughts common from my other visual journal which is more casual and spontaneous.   An innovation unlike my other hand-crafted books that this journal shall be further discuss and reflected upon on my blog WISDOM OF A FOOL therefore, you will have the chance to take an in-depth look or probably get the glimpse on its processes or progress. As to why certain image/s appear including the emotional aspect attached into it. The Journey of another Realization has just begun.

That is how it goes so far at this stage. I'm still contemplating on some ad on for I am still not satisfied on images put inside here. As you can see my original intent was to put it on Wisdom of a Fool but I saw it would fit on my blog about arts in general. I carefully selected details on this page from the quick strokes on all sides down to the cut-out letters; to show that "I do not believe in accident"...everything here was pre-ordained and valued before it hits the Platform. Texture, lines, colors and symbols are placed as I saw fit.

The Preface Page

I have expired the whole evening up to near dawn to finish all these and BLOG.
