Events after Events and The 4S Culminating Activity for 2015

Backtrack a little bit from the previous events, one after another. The highlight of these was the 4S gift-giving the 2nd time around...this time for the children of Barangay Panghulo, in Obando, Bulacan  which was held at Mayor Edwin Santos's farm house. It was a nice place where we stay an overnight from Dec 19-20....it was fun-filled despite the fact that there was a typhoon that day and we had a hard time going to the place because of the rain. Actually many of the members didn't attend plus the hectic holiday season also. 

   The Art demo was conducted by Julius Legaspi with mini-contest for kids. That impressionism at the top was for a good friend Master JJ, a little tribute where all the 4S members present that day signed. 

   We awarded certificates of recognition and honors to all the members and sponsors and thankful for the major sponsor Earlene Collis- Smith. And of course the memorable boodle fight....that even though I'm cautious of my food intake I was glad just being there in-front of that gathering.  

   Blessed also that I had face-painting stint with Party Bitz and pieces one after another which sustain my needs and enough extras for the extra expenses for these holiday season. 

A year end gift for the Filipino people also was the crowning of Ms. Philippines' Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach...

Pia sent out a message to her supporters, acknowledging her 3 attempts to win the Bb. Pilipinas crown.
She wrote, "I hope I inspired you. Never give up on your dreams and believe that dreams do come true! Walang susuko! Ang Pilipino, palaban. (No giving up! The Filipino is a fighter.)“

4 Years of 4S

Artists' are public figure and we really should be extra cautious on what we say or do. Well, in any case, as a Christian we had to fear damnation. 

I lost track of time yesterday Feb 19 doing the Special MC....starting around lunchtime till dawn the next day. When things are going as you expect you are recharge and unmindful of hunger and time...unlike the commission for Martin who had given me the hard time...uhhh anyway, I already had the money he sent via my wife's account and will need to buy some additional request which I feel I'm overused...again, everything you bring to the world has to return back to you either good or bad. 

As I was sayin'; the special master's challenge was once again sponsored by Gloria S for her Fil-German daughter. It came so smooth and according to what I intend to capture. Feel so proud of my self...Glory to God who has given me this gift. I can sense already that indeed it would rocket me to higher grounds.

I just remember being so depressed the first time I presented my work and got bad evaluations. Now, I realized, I have so much to learned...my time was yet to be honed then. Mostly are lessons learned thru pain and hardships.

How I wandered around just to earn a few pesos out of henna paint and no one minds me...then that humiliating experience in Pasay City when the Barangay Captain warn me sternly not to tattoo...

There were nightmares. Groanings and surrendering. Even family member doesn't believe in me anymore. I crumble and almost gave me...

Thanks somehow I've met people...and I will always be grateful to them. 

Why I'm telling these now? I have to remind myself that I am nothing without God. All the hardship is slowly being repaid now. 

Once again, I thank God and the people who bring me here. 

Four Seasons Awarding and On-the-spot Marathon of 4S

The much awaited day has finally arrived...Sunday Dec. 8, 2013. Could be the year-ender activity of Styles, Strokes, and Sketches Society or the opening salvo for 2014. The awarding ceremony of Four Seasons Tournament sponsored by Ms. Aubrey Pabuhat-Yano. 

   Venue: BF Park, BF Homes Parañaque City; just in front Sir Pops (Noel David) ancestral house where he grew up. A picturesque place which was dubbed as the largest subdivision in the Philippines not to mention filled with High-profile controversies. 
   We kick-off the event around 10AM with an on-the-spot painting with 3 lovely bystanders while we wait for 2 of our Main models Australian girl Christine Carluen and of course Aubrey. 

Styles, Strokes and Sketches Society members who are present in the scene...we still hope for a Grand reunion one day including those people in foreign land.  This was taken inside the David Mansion..

The Result...a misdeal, the judges can't decide so everyone wins.

   Sir Pops mural of BF personalities...over 300 faces and perhaps the most faces ever concocted together. Needed Guinness confirmation on this.

My official entry for Four Seasons Tournament. Not so many people knew but this was one of my first canvas work...well, I've tried one or two before but those was unofficial pieces as an artisan since I was only a student then. Good first try for me...anyway, there's always another season.
