Human Angels Have Choices

Don't you realize that we will judge angels?  So you should surely be able to resolve ordinary disputes in this life. - 1 Corinthians 6:3

If you have felt, since birth that you were born for greater purpose...someone who could literally change the world...and by pure instinct want to express it. Then, you are a human angels. I've talked about this half-human, half-angel stuff from my other blogs...that there were actually Mankind living today, who manage to survive the flood of Noah's time...that carries the blood of fallen angels. It doesn't mean, that these hybrids are going directly to hell aren't they? We were told by St. Paul that we are to judge angels. It doesn't mean therefor that these fallen angels are destined for doom....the verse suggest that they still have a chance.     Oooops I'm not forgetting that this blog was suppose to be all about my artistry because I've separated these topic on my other blogs. But you must understand that the very fa…

2nd Week of the Mural

As I've said we still have a 3rd week ahead till final touch as estimated by Master JJ hopefully.....I was able to come home last night Friday (January 22)...and Oh there is a 3rd man with us Sir Jun Manahan a retired employee of PCAARD and peers of Master J who assisted us.

I'm learning a lot working with Master JJ now my colleague and mentor of sorts. Sharing stories and anecdotes and some secrets...
Now I'm also starting to use Facebook via phone.

Right at The Heart of Mt. Makiling

Another mural project together with Master Joselito T. Jimenez....this time for DOST-PCAARRD or Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development. The concept is 3D collages of everything the government agency handles.     The initial sketches on the wall started January 11 and it wasn't smooth sailin' since there are so many bosses who contributes on the designs....there were so many revisions and even additions which could off-balance your momentum. Master JJ thought we can finalize ev'rything more or less two weeks but we are running on it's third week comes Monday January 25, 2016.

It is truly challenging since the images insides has to be scientifically accurate.

Here are some of the scenes from the first week...

Can We Break Design Principle?

"Many of the design principle we follow arises out of Gestalt theory...."

Poet may sometimes misspell words to stress a point; likewise painter would distort image to represent movement. These are what we call Poetic or Artistic license. But Newbies can not just claim nor acquire instantly this license because you will miss the point of Artistic or Design Principles.    Personally before I dabble into the art of impressionism, I painstakingly have to learn how to draw or color realistically.  I've learned thru time that by understanding the basics you can gradually explore more complex technique with greater ease. You must train your eyes first to see form, balance, texture, volume, dimension etcetera so much so that you can come up with a "Unified Whole" ....
It is said that when creating art we simply have to follow our heart....But there are proven designs and artistic principle that could make your work more appealing and to get your message across more ea…

A Summary of My Artistic Adventures

The theoretical approach is to think what you wish to materialize...Within this on-going piece I've dared to challenge myself to apply several design and aesthetic principles that I've learned so far. Like the dominant eye, triangular balance, color relativity, etcetera.... Well so far, I've realize that "illusion never change into something real".
Draft Title: Collective Extroversion.

New Colors of 2016

Verdaccios discovery a few years back pave way to understand the importance of an under-painting..these process enable me also to preconceive   how to apply color later. Then my continuous practice and hands-on experience open my eyes to discover new colors.... like some grays, blue and violets on skin tone and some tips not to use black  immediately or as some suggest not at all.
I stayed mostly indoors from Dec 31 up to the night going to 2016 painting the above Masterpiece....I have set that on my mind that it would be one of my important piece like the one I did for The French Embassy show.

Re-posting a highlight piece from 2015.
